We are a leader in the development and application of marker vaccines.
By enabling differentiation between vaccinated animals and those exposed to wild virus strains, these products are changing approaches to the control and eradication of major livestock diseases.
Most significantly, they have enabled a move away from traditional eradication-only policies, which are not only prohibitively expensive, but which often also involve the destruction of millions of healthy animals.
We have developed and commercialized marker vaccines against some of the world’s most economically devastating animal diseases, including avian influenza, foot and mouth disease, classical swine fever and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis.
Our extensive range of veterinary pharmaceuticals offers customers a variety of solutions, both in the core anti-infective and parasite control sectors, as well as in specialist areas such as fertility management, livestock performance technologies and the treatment of conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease in companion animals.
To stay at the forefront in veterinary vaccines we enhance our in-house expertise by entering into collaborative agreements with leading external parties. This enables us to harness a broad range of new technologies. Our portfolio is updated constantly, with a steady flow of new product introductions offering our customers enhanced protection against existing targets or expanding coverage to include emerging disease threats such as bluetongue.
Our portfolio is augmented and updated as new products and services come through our R&D pipeline. Innovative new products and additions to existing lines are regularly launched. Alongside established core brands, these are expected to fuel continued expansion of our portfolio in all of the main species segments, providing comprehensive solutions for our customers.
