Meat safety: from feed to meat
Animal production and processing is facing a difficult time. After mad cow, classical swine and avian influenza, consumers are sceptical and want guarantees about the meats they eat. Meat safety can only be guaranteed if every step in the meat production chain is carefully monitored and controlled.
VIV Europe 2006 was based on the Feed to Meat concept. Animal feed production and further meat processing were added to the exhibition profile. As a result VIV Europe became a platform where all participants in meat production can work together to provide the guarantees consumers are demanding.

Participants were welcomed to the Intervet booth where technical experts provided advice and product information.
During the VIV exhibition, Intervet organised 2 seminars in the auditorium of Mediaplaza (located in the Jaarbeurs).
