The 4th Asia Pig Veterinary Society (APVS) congress will be held in Tsukuba, Japan between October 26-28, 2009.There are more than 280 national and private education and research organizations in Tsukuba City. These organizations often invite researchers from other parts of Japan and the world to collaborate on various projects, giving Tsukuba a distinctive international flavor. The progress of recent technology is remarkable in swine disease diagnosis, too. The diagnostic technologies such as real time PCR or in situ hybridization are developed in a laboratory level. These technologies are expected to use on farm level. Therefore the theme of this congress is decided to “For the Development of the Pig Veterinary Diagnostic Technology”.This congress is expected to be a good opportunity to exchange information about swine science.
