Intervet Canada celebrates twenty years of growth

In 2004, Intervet Canada celebrated its 20th anniversary and two decades of successful growth.

The company started operating in 1984 with a product portfolio dedicated only to the poultry industry and just three employees. The initial office was located in the premises of sister company, Organon Canada.

Over the last twenty years, Intervet Canada has broadened its product base to include products for pigs, cows, horses and most recently companion animals. It has also increased its technical sales force to sixteen times its original strength over this period to meet increasing customer demand.  

Now with a workforce of 48 staff, Intervet Canada occupies its own modern, custom-built office and warehouse facility in Whitby, Ontario. In addition to the national headquarters, distribution points across the country ensure that customers anywhere in Canada can be reached quickly and efficiently. 

By adopting an innovative ‘complete system approach’ to solving its customers’ challenges, Intervet has contributed significantly towards changing business procedures in the Canadian veterinary industry as a whole.
