Mycofarm Nederland bv fully integrated into Intervet Nederland bv

Boxmeer, 19 April 2002 – Mycofarm Nederland bv and Intervet Nederland bv, the two Dutch subsidiaries of Intervet International bv, will form one organization form 1st of June 2002 onwards. The new company, named Intervet Nederland bv will be based in Boxmeer. This is the final step of some structural changes within the Dutch marketing and sales organization.

In 1988 Intervet International acquired Mycofarm, the animal health group of Gist-Brocades. Since then Mycofarm Nederland bv and Intervet Nederland bv have been operating as two independent sales organizations of Intervet International bv in the Netherlands.

Current Mycofarm activities are focussed on veterinary products for companion animals (vaccines, speciality pharmaceuticals, anti-parasitics), livestock products (parenteral antibiotics, mastitis and metritis products, anti-parasitics) and feed additives, while Intervet Nederland is focussed on veterinary products for livestock (vaccines for poultry, swine, ruminants and horses; reproduction hormones and speciality pharmaceuticals).

“The new structure of the organization, with a specialized sales force for livestock and for companion animal products as well as specialized veterinarians and product managers for the relevant product groups, will enables us to stay in close contact with our customers and to further improve the level of our well-known service.”
