Feed Additives Business transferred to Intervet

Boxmeer/Stenungsund, May 3, 2004 - In order to provide better market alignment and to strengthen Akzo Nobel’s overall position in feed additives, Akzo Nobel has decided to consolidate the CRINA® and Bredol feed additives businesses into Intervet.
Effective immediately,
- the entire responsibility for the marketing, manufacturing, and research and development (R&D) of the CRINA® products,
- and the commercial and R&D responsibility for Bredol products,
will be transferred from the Surface Chemistry Business Unit to Intervet. Surface Chemistry will continue to produce the Bredol products for Intervet.
In order to assure an orderly transition, Intervet management has been charged with responsibility for leading the integration process.
The new structure will allow an optimal match of customer demands and preferences with a complete service and a product range by just one contact.
