Yearly Conference of Dairy Cattle Reproduction Council
2 - 3 November 2007
Denver, Colorado (USA)

A second yearly convention of the US Dairy Cattle Reproduction Council took place in Denver, Colorado on 2nd -3rd November 2007. The Dairy Cattle Reproduction Council was formed as an organization gathering a wide array of dairy industry professionals—researchers and consultants, practitioners and producers as well as pharmaceutical industry —engaged in a collaborative effort to optimize the cattle reproduction technology. Through information and communication, it strives to deliver the latest in technology and resources. Intervet together with other pharmaceutical companies providing products used in reproduction management in cattle is supporting financially the organization and actively participates in the conventions.
This year DCRC convention, a two-day event attended by veterinarians, producers, academia and industry professionals, was clearly focused at optimization of synchronization systems allowing for fixed time insemination and at increasing awareness of economical aspects of reproduction management in dairy herds. The convention provided an excellent opportunity to meet with other dairy professionals and discuss solutions to key issues surrounding dairy cattle fertility, the DCRC and the dairy industry as a whole.
