PG 600®
Description
PG 600® is a combination of PMSG and hCG. PMSG plays an important role in the development of the follicle, and hCG in ovulation. The two in combination have been proven to promote the development of a fertile oestrous cycle in the pig.
Active ingredients
PMSG (Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotrophin) and hCG.
Composition
PG 600® contains 400 IU PMSG and 200 IU hCG, per dose.
Formulation
Vials containing a white freeze-dried crystalline powder packed together with 5ml vials of solvent.
Indications

For all indications: one dose of 5 ml of the reconstituted product.
Method of administration
By intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
Withholding period
None. ( National regulations should be observed).
Presentation
- 5x single dose vials of freeze-dried product with 5x vials of 5 ml diluent.
- 1x5 dose vial of freeze-dried product with 1 vial of 25ml diluent (equals 5 doses).
Storage
Store at 8-15°C. Protect from light.
Warnings
Application of high or multiple doses may lead to the induction of follicle cysts on the ovaries
Contra-indications
As with all preparations containing protein, injection may give rise to an anaphylactoid reaction on rare and warnings occasions. In such an event, prompt medication with adrenaline or glucocortisteroids may be indicated.
Precautions
Reconstituted product should be stored at 2-8°C and should be used within 12 hours of re-constitution.
